Our lesson program is designed to educate the rider on all aspects of horsemanship. All of our lessons are taught by Owner/Trainer Heather Freeman-Bristol, and are designed for each rider's individual goals. Adults and children (ages 6 years and up) are welcome to join us as we impart knowledge and insight into the discpline of Hunters, Jumpers, and Hunter Seat Equitation.

School Horse Lessons:
These lessons are designed for the rider that does not yet have their own horse. Our wonderful school horses are highly trained and are perfect for the beginner rider, as well as more advanced individuals. Most of our school horses show at G.O.H.J.A. horse shows once a month. So even if you do not own a horse, we can provide you the opportunity to ride one of our school horses in a show.

30 min Private Lesson: $ 45.00
This lesson option is intended for beginner and advanced students alike. Students requiring assistance tacking and untacking the horse will receive instruction from our friendly staff. All students should plan on arriving 30 minutes before the scheduled lesson time and staying 30 after the conclusion of the lesson to properly prepare and cool the horse.

45 min Semi-Private (2 Students): $ 45.00
Students must be able to walk, trot, and are learning to canter before they can qualify for this lesson option. This option is great for children and adults that learn visually.

60 min Group Lesson (3 Students): $ 45.00
Rider requirements are the same as a Semi-Private lesson.

For our boarders, please deduct $ 5.00 from the above prices.

Lesson Off Property:
Heather Freeman-Bristol is available for off site instruction and training. Rates vary with mileage. The following rates are in effect within a 10 mile radius of the 32773 zip code. Lessons that require more travel will need an independent price quote.
  • 45 minute Private: $ 65
  • 1 hour Semi-Private: $ 40 (each student)
Trailer In Lesson:
This option is perfect for people with limited training space. Come and enjoy an informative and relaxing lesson at our stable with your own horse.
  • 30 minute Private: $ 50
  • 1 hour Semi-Private: $ 50 (each student)

School Horse Lease Options

Our lease program is designed to give the rider a leg up in their riding by offering more time in the saddle the most other "Lesson Programs". It also provides a connection with one horse as opposed to riding whomever is available. Our leases are on a month to month basis, and we are responsible for all vet and farrier bills. You are responsible for finding the time and providing the commitment to create a lasting bond with your equine partner. We have three lease options available:
  • ¼ Lease ($ 300): Includes 1 lesson (30 min) and 1 practice ride (30 min) per week. Perfect for the rider that can ride unsupervised to practice lesson homework.


  • ½ Lease ($ 500): Includes 1 lesson (30 min) and 2 practice rides (30 min) per week. Allows more riding time, and one-on-one time with your horse.


  • Full Lease ($ 1000): Includes 2 lesson (30 min) and 4 practice rides (30 min) per week. This lease is desiged to give the experience of owning a horse without all of the financial responsibility. Targeted for riders wanting to "try" horse ownership prior to jumping in.
